The Clarke-Palmore House Museum is located on Marion Hill in eastern Henrico County. The museum interprets the story of the Palmore family who lived on this small farm in 1930. The home is furnished to reflect the time period of the Great Depression and the beginning of being modernized with electricity. The residence was built in three stages with the first-floor brick section built around 1820, the second floor in 1855, and the rear wood frame portion in 1910. Original outbuildings include a kitchen/barn and well/smokehouse.
The museum is open for special programs, events, and by appointment. To schedule an appointment, please call (804) 652-3409 or contact den63@henrico.us.
